Pink October; HiQs Campaign for National Breast Cancer Awareness month

Helping to raise money for a serious cause

October is National Breast Cancer awareness month and a great time to raise money for this fantastic charity. Every year, 50,000 people in the UK hear the devastating words they have breast cancer which is why we made the pledge to support the fantastic work they do in helping those affected.

Each October, our network of HiQ centres get involved through a whole manner of fundraising initiatives and activities and this year will be no different.

We know what as little as £1 can do to change people's lives and with £80,000 already raised, we will continue in our pledge to reach our £100,000 target and help people overcome the effects of this life-changing illness.

Raising funds

Some of our HiQ staff have already taken part in fundraising events, with lots more activities planned across the month. Look out for the posters in our centres for more information, as well as more details on activities our staff will be involved in at each of our centres nationwide.

HiQ Franchisee Easy Tyres, Henley-on-Thames raised over £645

Carl Reid, Centre Manager at HiQ Franchisee Easy Tyres, Henley-on-Thames and his wife ran a 10k race in September and both finished beating their personal best times. Carl finished in 57 minutes 22 seconds with wife Rachel finishing in 1 hour 7 minutes 47 seconds. The pair have raised £645.66 for project pink and that amount is still rising.

Will it be an 'Easy Tyre' roll?

Easy Tyres have committed to a team tyre roll on the 16th October. Staff will be rolling the pink 4x4 tyre between HiQ Oldbury, HiQ Dudley and HiQ Kidderminster which is a 7 mile trip and will be collecting pennies on the way all on top of their sponsorship money. We can't wait to see the photos guys and wish you lots of luck!

HiQ Franchisee Broadway Tyres look to slim for charity

The ladies at HiQ Franchisee Broadway Tyres head office in Watford are committing to losing a spare tyre this October on a sponsored slim! A worthy cause such as Breast Cancer Care is a great motivation to lose a few extra pounds, and the timing is perfect in the rundown to Christmas.
