Why winter tyres?
Winter tyres are designed with deep grooves and sipes in wide blocks of tread. This tyre design helps to disperse water, slush, and snow from underneath the tyre as you drive. As well as dealing with adverse weather conditions, winter tyres also perform better than summer tyres when temperatures fall below 7°C. This is because they are built with a rubber compound that maintains a high elasticity in cold temperatures, whereas summer tyres stiffen up when temperatures drop.
The optimal tread pattern and high elasticity of winter tyres ensures you’ll have the best possible grip and traction in winter. This translates to shorter braking distances and better handling, meaning you can drive with more confidence and control.
