Project Pink
Every 11 minutes, someone in the UK is told they have breast cancer. Which is why for 2009 HiQ have chosen Breast Cancer Care to be our special charity of the year.
Breast Cancer Care exists to support anyone affected by breast cancer. They bring people together, provide information and support and campaign for improved standards of care. You can find out more about their work by visiting www.breastcancercare.org.uk
Throughout the year we'll be arranging a series of fundraising events. Look out for our special fundraising 'Pinkmobile' stopping off at HiQ centres across the UK, plus strawberry tea picnics and lots, lots more.
HiQ Breast Cancer Care Progress
Help us to reach our target of £100,000.
We've currently raised £50,000
Every penny counts
The £45,000 we have raised to date is enough to pay for:
- 90,000 people to have access to the Breast Cancer Care website or
- 1956 calls to Breast Cancer Care's free confidential helpline or
- 882 appointments with Breast Cancer Care's Headstrong service, which helps cancer sufferers deal with hair loss or
- 441 place at Breast Cancer Care's group therapy information sessions or
- 193 new volunteers to be trained
You could be the next HiQ Grid Girl
Following a successful 2009 Grid Girl competition, HiQ will be giving you the chance to become a 2010 Dunlop BTCC Grid Girl.
