Check Your Vehicles Meet the Road Safety and Environmental Standards

An MOT test checks that vehicles meet the road safety and environmental standards required by law. All cars over 3 years old require an MOT test every 12 months. Without a current MOT certificate, you will be unable to drive your vehicle lawfully or renew your road fund license.

You can have an MOT test completed up to one month before the expiry of your current MOT without affecting your annual expiry date. You can find the earliest date to MOT your vehicle on the front of your last pass certificate.

And don't forget to bring your Vehicle Registration Document (V5) with you on the day of the test.

Find your nearest HiQ MOT testing centre and book your next MOT test appointment online.

MOT. We make it as easy as ABC

The MOT process is governed by strict rules set down by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA). Which means, the things that we check are exactly the same as the things other approved MOT centres will check too.
