Absolute disgrace I have been using this garage for years They should all be ashamed . Charged £245 for a service and mot After getting my car back I checked and realised the fuel filter hadn't been touched ???? I went straight back to the garage and the person I take was in charge (Dean) after having a look agreed that the filter hadn't been changed I was told if i brought the car back they would put a new fuel filter on the car I said I would change it myself he said they would have to order a fuel filter. Why ? if that had not been replaced on my car they must of had one there, nope never had one.(obviously never planned to put one on ) I then asked for my bill from the work they completed on the Saturday mot and service the receipt said £225 I paid £245 cash when I said this 4 times nothing was said just gave me £20 cash (dodgy) Then once I got home I inspected the car again and found the oil filter had not been changed and oil spilt on the top of the engine. Going back to the garage the next morning once again explaining that the oil filter had not been touched or should I say the case holding the oil filter hadn't been touched After about 5 mins of Dean saying it had been replaced I said it must of been replaced by magic as the case/ cap or what ever you want to call it holding the filter in hadn't been removed . Dean also said they don't replace a cabin filter on a service but I had already checked with a different hi q garage. So if you have had a full service you will need to go back and get your cabin filter changed that's the filter that filters the air into the car that is part of the service. He (Dean)then turned around and said they would do a completely new service for free amazing the car had only done 10-15 miles since the last one. So later that day 12ish I brought the car back to the garage and video recorded the car while they did the service . the oil coming out of the car was jet black considering it had only been done 15miles ago maximum from when they serviced it The oil filter was completley black they aslo replaced fuel filter and cabin filter and then the oil. So to top it off for the £200 service they had changed an air filter and poured some oil on top of the engine to make it look like an half wit had changed the oil. I have complained to hi q head office also contacted trading standards and was thinking of ringing the police as this was a blatant theft Not a mistake thiefs robbing working people. I have serviced my own vehicles cars vans bikes for the last 20 plus years And working in the maintenance department of a global medical company for years And having my qualifications in mechanical engineering. Feel absolutely gutted that a local garage is ripping people off .

I have veiwed cctv in relation to your alegation and can assure you that the oil and filter was changed on your vehicle also the air filter was replaced . There is also a 56 point service checklist available for the other checks carried out on your Mercedes. The fuel filter is not included in our service which is stated on our service check sheet but if due would be replaced at an extra cost. I cannot attach the checklist here but will post this to you. On review of your receipt the cost of £185 for a service on your Mercedes is in line with local pricing. I am sorry you feel let down by us but diesel engines turn the new oil black very quickly and sometimes can appear that this has not been replaced.

You will have no problem sharing the ctv video with us then so we can see for ourselves , we know for a fact it was not done , so when you post the checklist , please include a copy of the video .

Hello I inspected my brothers c220 cdi and found it laughable when he told me he had just had it "serviced" does your service not involve actua?ly doing the work. You state in your reply you charged £185 you quoted £225 and actually tried charging £245 and then when this was mentioned handed over £20 straight away. As well as all the work not done you didnt even notice a frayed drive belt. A diesel engine works a lot less than a petrol so the oil should stay cleaner longer. If the work was done when stated why did you service the car again rather than show my bro this imaginery cctv. A disgrace and nothing short of robbing people.

We have now taken a video recording of the drive belt needing replaced straight away you could clearly see the belt needed replacing , the power steering fluid was right on the minimum and needed topping up . Brake fluid was low needed topping up . Just bought new drive belt so that will be replaced , looking forward to seeing the cctv footage . The hi q 56 check list is pointless When I phoned up and enquired about the service I was told the fuel filter would be replaced . I do think the price of the service was a reasonable price , I have no problem with the price but you fail to mention the £20 cash that was handed bk to me once i asked for my reciept .

It has now been 2 weeks and we are yet to see any cctv footage. Just another lie from the person I assume is the manager of this disgraceful franchise. If you want we can come to your office to see the imaginery footage. Be very careful leaving your vehicle with these cowboys. Is it a coincedence that one of the employees has a c220 cdi like my bro. I am fully qualified with a BTEC LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN MOTORVEHICLE ENGINEERING AND CITY AND GUILDS IN BOTH CHASSIS AND ENGINES.

Have used HiQ for many years. Have now trusted my Brand New Mazda for them to service. Can only rate the work carried out as excellent. Have never had any problems with any of the cars that they have looked after. The staff are excellent and a pleasure to deal with.

Staff very unpleasant not very welcoming. Over heard them talking about a cv boot gone on my car but not one of them actually told me. Had a job to make conversation with the person that served me he only had one word answers. Don't think I will bother again. Perhaps it was because I went through asda tyres rather than direct. If your prices were better then perhaps I would have.

I've used their services before and they've always been helped and friendly. took my car one Saturday morning for concerns I had with brakes. An hour later all sorted and a tyre fitted too. Great service and great value!

Left the car for an hour and a half - needed a computer check for fault light and tyres looking at. All done quickly, everything was explained on return and at such a good and honest price. Very happy, thanks very much.

Absolutely shocking, took my car in and was told it would take 3 days to sort out, it ended up being in there 9 days, they kept ordering in the wrong parts then trying to charge me for it, they didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing, I will never go here again

Hi Q always have the best deals when it comes to a quality tyre. They always have the tyre I need in stock and I feel that unlike some other tyre centres, they are honest and don't try to push for a sale - when you don't actually need it. The service is quick and courteous and their advice about tyres and their condition is always accurate. I wouldn't use anywhere else. Nice guys, great service & the most reasonably priced tyres in St Austell. Thank you!

I have always been impressed by the polite welcome and immediately positive approach. The staff use easily understood explanations when sorting problems and have fitted me in at my convenience and given me all the time I need   and ere obviously out to do a job to my satisfaction in a friendly way. The price is clearly stated and not added to with hidden extras. First class and I haven't found anyone to beat them yet.

undate 3 I have now had my car retuned to me at work, no seat covers still floor mats has oil marks on them from work boots, car now seem to be ok and i have a full report of work done, and full inspection check list on a vosa form advise on there I have known about from the mot and from looking after the car well. also have full brake test done so it dose look like thay have done an ok job on it this time but time will tell, I also have the parper work now that I was told I could not have, as I had a man fron the AA cheack the car and was told to take to the garage as there was a judder on the clutch it say a tchnician looked at drove it and could find no problems but at my persistence it was agreed it would be replaced, but i was told by the AA there is a problem mmmm well time will tell on this hope it will all be ok and I will not have to go back to HI Q, I will say that C Trudgian the area manager did seem very profusanol in sorting this out. also said  no reason for my concern for not takeing the car and no defevts found but why would I not take the car if it all seem ok.

Hi thanks for the reply as for the seat covers and mats I seen my self that some of your team got in the car with no cover at all down this was on the day i came in with it and also on the day i came to pick it up and thay took it for a test drive again, I have also found a dent on the drivers door br the window with an oil mark, so I know for a fact mats and covers was not used well the car was in the garage Thanks David carne

I think also seeing that you are the director it would have been nice if you made your self known to me seeing this this now two times I have had to come in about the same problem also you no problem found with car if this was the case then AA guy would not have put in his report about the judder and advise I return to where it was done. Thanks

undate on my reveiw yesterday I have called the garage this am as i was not called back by them. I was told there is nothing wrong with car or the job thay have done so do not know why I left the car last night, now I do admit I do not like useing HI Q anyway but why would I take the time to go and pick it up and them leave it there for no reason. I was told thay was there untill 8 pm last night looking at and when test dove could not hear or see anything wrong. also seat covers was not used. I have asked for the car to be delivered to me at work as I am now working all weekend and monday and my hire car is going back today, so when I have my car back I will undate this again, as I said before there is a bit more to this this is just the outlined info. make of it what you will

Had a clutch replacement in November 2013 and the car has had to go back thus week with a clutch judder clutch rremoved and found oil left on the fly wheel and the clutch was only catching on out side edge new one put in again went to pick car up today drove it across the car park and was not driving right so car has had to stay there lots of offer things has gone on as well 5 much to list. Only use this garage as I have bracdown repair cover with the AA so thay covered the cost all bar 35 pounds problem still on going today waiting to talk to area manager hopefully tomorrow

Have been here on several occasions have observed how professional and polite the workers have been. Very efficient and quick service and reasonably priced. Better than any local competitors!!! Thank you to all the staff.

Friendly polite quick service. Waiting room could be a bit "posher" but I can see there is very little room to play with. I've been going there for tyres & MOT for many years and see no reason to change.

HiQ was recommended to me by a friend and I am very glad he did. I was given brilliant advice regarding which tyres I needed and they fitted new ones in no time at all. All of the staff I met were very curteous and polite. The price was very competitive as well. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them. Sue

I would highly recommend HQ at St Austell,.Rob & his lads always give a first class service and I feel welcomed & valued as a customer.Sometimes as a women a garage can be a little intimidating,but I never feel this here..It made a nice change to to have some women's magazine's to browse while I was waiting for my tyres to be fitted.as opposed to the usual 'lads mags' you find elsewhere. I also got a really good price on my tyres which couldn't be beaten anywhere else. Well done x

Had a puncture and was dealt with really fast. Had the puncture repaired at a reasonable price and we were on our way again. And with a great attitude. I am a retail manager and i was impressed with the service so thanks to the Helston branch.

Didn't use seat protectors. Tightened wheel nuts using mechanical wrench then torqued. If the torque wrench doesn't turn before it clicks then it only proves the bolt is at least the required torque , it could be much more. My bolts were all over torqued. Tyre pressures were 10% wrong. The correct pressures are inside most fuel flaps . No one looked.

We keep tyre pressures on a chart in the office and I cannot understand how this was done wrong but I will raise this with staff and ensure correct tyre pressures and torque settings are always correct in the future

The annual MOT nightmare came around again, and previously I visited (so called) Kwik-Fit to do the MOT because they are cheaper when you book online. However, there is absolutely no comparison between the experience I received and I am very happy to pay the extra amount when I get a free retest, friendly and informative staff and prompt turnaround of the appointment with no hassles what so ever. 

I would highly recommend this branch and will use them without a 2nd thought every time now. Well done.

Only thing I could say to improve the experience is perhaps WiFi in the customer waiting area would be a bonus. I could have made up my work time in the hour :o)
