They are bubbly, they are full of fizz, and HiQ's Champagne Moments are back for a third season, starting at Thruxton this weekend.

After a phenomenal uptake to HiQ's online award initiative in 2008 and 2009, the Teams' Championship sponsors of the British Touring Car Championship are proud to bring back the bubbly for the duration of the 2010 season.

Following each race weekend last year, scores of spectators logged onto HiQ's official website, http://www.hiqonline.co.uk/ to vote for their star performer from the weekend's action.

And now they will get the chance to do the same again, once the excitement has concluded in Hampshire.

Whether it's a first place finish or just one particular overtaking manoeuvre that caught the eye, HiQ want fans to get voting for their favorite driver once more.

The driver that receives the most plaudits from the round of racing at Thruxton will be crowned with HiQ's Champagne Moment award and presented with a bottle of bubbly before the action at Rockingham on April 25.

One lucky fan who has logged his or her details onto the website will be picked at random to present the prize to the driver and complimentary race tickets will also be provided, along with a grid walk of the track before one of the races.

HiQ's marketing manager Geraldine McGovern said: "In our two years as title sponsors, our Champagne Moment awards were a big highlight.

"From around 50 votes per round back in 2008, we have had nearly 1,000 votes for each race up to Brands Hatch in October.

"We want these awards to keep growing and long may they continue, as we always want to give back to the fans wherever possible at HiQ."
