Monday 14th March 2016To always be gracious and kind :) #MumKnowsBest
I have the line manager from hell who is nasty through to her bones. I was ill for a week (unusually) recently and she didn't even ask how I was feeling and just made me feel very awkward by passing a message through someone else about filling out a self certification form (which nobody else has been asked to do in over a year). Thinks the worst of everyone. Yet she was recently off for several weeks when her husband was taken seriously ill. I wasn't going to say anything (especially since she'd made me take a week a holiday when my dad died) but my mum said 'be the better person' so I asked her how he was. My mum has a lovely soul - I wish I could be more like her naturally and not when she advises me...

Saturday 5th March 2016My mum is the most amazing mum ever, she is a single mum and has only just stopped going to court with my dad. For a surprise I thought it might be nice for her to have a pamper by her favourite beauty products! She hasn't had a very good time this year with my dad, her job and she is struggling to fund me and my brother... She works 7 days a week none stop and I think it would be the best suprise to just have a day off?

She also taught me how to be a mum and we all make mistakes in life but 2moro really isn't promised.... Smile everyday and tell all my kids that I love them and know that even when we shout at each other out love is unconditional

I really had a bad time from my ex and was tempted to say what a horror he was but my mum spoke to me and said never bad mouth him to your children. He is their father and they will grow up and never forgive you for speaking badly of him. They will find out for themself what kind of a person he is and make up their own minds. It's not your place to do it for them. My kids are now 19 and 22 and have their own relationship with him that they have built without my input.

Sunday 28th February 2016To be honest I don't remember much about my mum sadly she passed away when I was a young 8 in 1980, but however I was very lucky to have a wonderful Step Mum who came along 3 years later and took me and my sister as her own. She always maintained and drummed into me to say yes I can do it.. As I'm hard of hearing and lack in confidence..this is very true..she has helped me in more ways possible over the years. I have done things that I never thought I would do i.e. Travel to Australia on my own.. Which was a very big thing for me when I was in early twenties. I'm always very grateful for what's she has done for me and my sister.

Wednesday 24th February 2016#MumKnowsBest - unfortunately I lost my mum through cancer, so she didn't have the chance to give me advice. However raising my younger sister, I've told her to never put up with feeling second best, to learn by mistakes made and always be true to herself. She has turned out to be a lovely person

Wednesday 24th February 2016#MumKnowsBest One of the best pieces of advice my Mum gave me (when I was taking the mick out of her driving slow) was "It's better to be 2 minutes late in this life than too early in the next" which I guess is true!
