It's just five days and counting before HiQ's biggest franchisee sets off on a 15 mile tyre roll across the Black Country to Worcestershire for Breast Cancer Care.

Staff at Easy Tyre & Autocentres are putting the nuts and bolts on a plan to complete a huge tyre roll from their Oldbury centre through to their Kidderminster site on Saturday October 16, stopping off at HiQ Dudley on the way.

Using a big 4x4 tyre for the occasion, a team of 10 will be pushing the wheel along pavements, shaking collection buckets in between pushing their way along the route.

Easy Tyre & Autocentre's marketing manager Emma-Jane Kisby said she hoped the novel fundraiser would pocket £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care - HiQ's chosen charity for 2010.

She said: "We have wanted to do something to remember for the HiQ fast fit network and we are all excited by this challenge!

"I'm not sure how much training the guys have done for the big push, but I'm sure they will all be in the right shape come October 16!"

The HiQ fast fit network, which boasts 150 centres nationwide, is hoping to hit the £100,000 for Breast Cancer Care by the end of October and is pulling out all the stops for the cause.

Each one of its stores have been challenged to raise £275 through their own fundraising efforts, while a day of high octane activity took place at Brands Hatch on Sunday at the final round of the British Touring Car Championship.

HiQ's marketing manager Geraldine McGovern added: "We really applaud everyone at Easy Tyre & Autocentres for setting the example for everyone to follow.

"We are sure that they will be noticed by a number of motorists and we hope that they show their support for the team on the day."
