A kind hearted HiQ franchise partner has received a prestigious national award for her fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Care, after raising £3000 for the cause.

Emma-Jane Kisby, marketing manager for the network's largest franchise, Easy Tyre & Autocentres, was crowned HiQ's Pink Hero of the Year at its national franchise conference for her commitment to Project Pink.

Throughout October, Emma-Jane organised and participated in a number of pink activities including a race for life and a 16 mile 4x4 tyre roll from Oldbury to Kidderminster. She also helped re-launch the Erdington and Kettering centres, of which all proceeds went to the charity.

The sum boosted HiQ's efforts to reach their £100,000 target for the charity after meeting the £50,000 mark at the end of 2009.

Speaking of her award Emma-Jane said: "The award came as a total shock. I never expected to receive something like this and am very grateful to HiQ.

"Raising money to help women affected by breast cancer is really important and it is with thanks to everyone who supported us either by getting involved or donating money that we could raise so much."

HiQ's marketing manager Geraldine McGovern, said: "Emma-Jane has definitely boosted our fundraising partnership with Breast Cancer Care. Emma-Jane commits a lot of her time organising events to raise money and has done exceedingly well to raise such a fantastic amount. Well done."
