Motorists in Ilkeston are being promised a tastebud tickling experience to remember at a fast fit centre in the town, which has found a fundraising recipe for success for Breast Cancer Care.
It will be a case of cupcakes and car parts at HiQ on Heanor Road, when the centre attempts to raise as much dough as possible by selling handmade cakes for the charity.
HiQ Ilkeston is backing the network's push to meet its £100,000 target for the charity and is hoping to play its part through a day of cake baking.
And after a successful day last week, where staff and fast fitters joined in by wearing HiQ pink hats, motorists visiting or passing by the centre this Friday can sample the cupcakes and enter a draw to win a free service.
Franchisee of HiQ Ilkeston and cupcake making extraordinaire Debra Robinson said: "It's great to see our centre looking positively pink to back this great campaign. We sold lots of pink cakes and managed to raise a great amount of money.
"I've been baking lots of cakes ready for Friday and would welcome anyone in the area to come along."
HiQ marketing manager Geraldine McGovern said: "It is great to see Debra and the team embracing the campaign, having fun and raising money in the process.
"I am sure there are plenty of motorists in Ilkeston with a sweet tooth so be sure not to miss out on Debra's cakes this Friday!"
