Hundreds of motorists across Stafford have been flocking to HiQ to make the most of the centre's open days, after its £100,000 transformation.

HiQ Stafford, based on Foregate Street, has undergone an extensive refurbishment, boasting eye catching new branding, new customer friendly environment and a fully automated MOT test lane.

HiQ retail director Peter Tye cut the pink ribbon with Chris Kisby, managing director of Easy Tyre & Autocentres, to mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the centre.

Following the first of three open days on Thursday, scores of motorists are making a pit stop at HiQ to find out more about the new facilities on offer.

Centre manager Jim Turner - who has built up years of automotive experience from working in the town - and his team are providing free tyre checks and tips to all motorists over the weekend, to ensure that their weekend journeys are carried out as safely as possible.

He said: "We have been extremely busy and it has been great to see so much interest in the centre and our first of our three open days."

HiQ's retail director Peter Tye said: "HiQ Stafford is an example of how far HiQ has come as a network.

"It was wonderful to see the centre so busy, so soon after the investment and everyone associated with the centre should be proud of the part they have played in this success story."
