How do EV chargers work?
As you know, filling up an EV is different to filling up a normal vehicle. When charging, EV's tap into the electric grid for power and to be able to recharge, a connector is attached to an outlet which allows the electrical charge to flow freely to your car.
Are all EV chargers the same?
The EV chargers vary in types depending on how quickly they charge, they are usually categorised as rapid, fast and slow which correlate to the varying power outputs, measured in kilowatts (kW). EV chargers also have different sets of connectors which are designed accordingly for low or high power usage and again, they vary for AC or DC charging. When charging, EV's tap into the electric grid for power and to be able to recharge, a connector is attached to an outlet which allows the electrical charge to flow freely to your car.
