Every car over 3 years old requires an MOT. The sole reason for this is to keep you and others on the road safely. Having an MOT is like having a check up at the doctors. Our fully qualified MOT testers are signed off by the ministry and must meet exacting high standards at all times. During the MOT the MOT tester will check all the necessary parts of the vehicle required by law to ensure that your vehicle is safe for you and others on the roads. If anything that requires replacing is found then we will always ask for your consent before undertaking any work. Once the MOT is complete we will call you asap to get you back on the road. The MOT covers the safety aspect of your vehicle but doesn't cover in great detail the things that keep your car healthy. It's always a benefit to have a service on your vehicle at least every 6 months or 6000 miles. This can be a simple oil and filter change or a complete Full Service where all filters and an extensive check of the vehicle are made. If you're unsure about which service you require just let us know and we'll recommend the service based on your needs.

I've only owned the car for a year so this is the first MOT I've done on it. Alex was incredibly friendly, and kept me up to date as the car was tested. Unfortunately, despite having a completely clean MOT last year, and the year before, the team at HiQ found my car to be less than stellar (and proved this with pictures of some of my suspension looking like the inside of a cave). In total, the brakes, front arms, rear springs and rear drop links needed looking at. Alex called very promptly to discuss the next steps, with an estimated quote based on getting a discount for multiple parts. After a second call about getting the rear arms done at the same time (there was no pressure here, they were very crusty and the suspension was already apart so I was only charged parts), HiQ set to work and got all of this done in less than 8 hours, also providing photo proof of the shiny new bits on the car. Alex made sure to mention that the parts were warrantied and to give him a call if there were any issues as soon as they arise. Yes, it was a very expensive MOT, but seeing exactly what was going on made me feel very comfortable to trust that these guys know what they're doing. So much so, in fact, that I've reported the previous MOT tester to the DVSA as there's no way on Earth all of this accrued in 12 months/8,000 miles of driving. 100% recommend. Morgan Yarnton
