Terms and Conditions
- This competition is open to UK residents only, excluding employees of the promoter, their dealers and associated companies.
- All entrants must be aged 16 years or over.
- Only one entry is permitted per individual.
- Entries to be submitted by visiting www.hiqonline.co.uk/hiqhero and nominating with the online form or by filling in the required nomination form available in all HiQ Centres or by calling 0800 2888 428 and quote hiqhero. The promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost entries.
- The closing date for nomination entries is 30th September 2010. Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the competition.
- The shortlist of 10 regional finalists will be judged based on the detail of the nomination and will be chosen by HiQ Head Office Personnel (part of Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Ltd), a panel of local community representatives and will take place on Friday 1st October 2010.
- Each of the 10 finalists chosen will be invited to attend the Grand final in mid November 2010 at a location within the West Midlands for a drinks reception with our HiQ celebrity Sally Gunnell OBE. This will not include any expenses incurred travelling to and from the venue or any hotel accommodation. The 10 finalists will be notified by email or telephone by Tuesday 5th October 2010. They must confirm at this point they will be available to attend the Grand Final. If they are unavailable for this date they will be omitted from the competition. If a finalist does not respond to the notification by Thursday 7th October 2010 they will forfeit their right to attend the Grand Final and HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK may at its discretion select a replacement finalist.
- The winner will be voted for through a mixed vote compromising of 75% public vote and 25% HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK, voting for the winner closes on 31st October 2010. The general public will vote through www.hiqonline.co.uk and the winner will be notified by 18th November 2010 at the Grand Final. If the winner does not attend the Grand Final on the 18th November, they will forfeit their right to the prize and HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK may at its discretion select a replacement winner. In the event of a technical problem or evidence of impropriety with regard to the viewers'/public vote, the panel of judges for HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK shall have the final decision.
- Details of the winner will be made available on the www.hiqonline.co.uk from 22nd November 2010.
- The prize winner will win the opportunity to gain £5000 for a local community project as approved/agreed with HiQ Goodyear Dunlop. The winner will receive a £500 cheque for themselves.
- The decision of HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK is final.
- The promoter reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of equal value.
- No cash alternative is available to the prize stated in part or in whole. The prize is non transferable.

- If it becomes apparent that individuals are attempting to make multiple entries for voting, for example by using multiple e-mail addresses or through brute force script attacks, they will be disqualified, they will not receive any prizes from this competition and they will be banned from entering future competitions. HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
- By submitting your photographs, you agree to grant the promoter the right to use the photograph in any HiQ Goodyear Dunlop UK marketing materials. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
- Winners must be prepared to participate in publicity for the campaign, which may include a photo call.
- Images submitted must be of high resolution, at least 300dpi, and be no more than 5MB in size.
