I brought my car to a local garage and although the staff there were very courteous and polite, they never found the fault on the car even after i mentioned and recorded the car noise defect on my mobile ( Using my car an awful lot and ot being a mechanic at all , I needed to have this mystery sorted. Indeed I had brought the car to every service in the last few months and mentioned the noise which couldn't be addressed each time. So I was paying for some fixing, changing parts etc but the irritating and worrying noise was still there. No need to say that my patience was wearing thin and the bank account was emptying itself ever time but the noise remained. Please do not ask me for the name of the garage as it is irrelevant now!) I then took the car the HIQ in Lancaster. Noticed how busy it was but also noticed how everyone was paying a lot of attention to each people coming in to have their car fixed. . After explaining the trouble noise on the car, Ayden ( not sure if it is spelt that way!) one of the guy, looked at it and solved it by identifying where it was coming from...And actually fixed it there and then...I was very relieved as I was to do a long trip in the evening. I am very very impressed by a few things there so here is the list but it is not exhaustive by any means. Customer service is great. They are efficient, they make you feel like you are not too ignorant when talking about cars...though I tried the best i could to describe the noise thing..;) ...they listen, they are respectful, they tell you the price of course but then also soften the blow and knocked some of it down to ease the distress..:)) ...They look like they are enjoying what they are doing and no doubt this is a hard job day in day out, they pay attention to details, they have humour, basically I was and am very impressed by the whole experience...I do know that for me peace of mind is everything so yes I will definitely recommend anyone to go there and will carry on to go there myself.. I met the owner and he can really be proud of what he achieved with his family and lads/girl there too...Great business, great venue, because it is run by good people who care without trying to sale you stuff you do not need just because you are a woman...( I am much happier today than I was yesterday...lol...and the noise HAS GONE for GOOD...so thank you to the whole team there....:))

I have use HiQ in Lancaster for many years. The staff are friendly, helpful, fair (I used to shop around but no longer bother as I know they will have given me the best price possible) quick (I never have to wait long to get car in/sorted) and go above and beyond (I've had a couple of occasions where I have just turned up and they sorted my vehicle. Can't fault the whole place and would highly recommend to anyone (and have on many occasion!)

Unfortunate clutch failure on holiday. RAC took car here to HIQ, whom I had not heard of before. Friendly helpful staff soon got to bottom of problem and quoted a worst possible scenario price (extent of problem difficult to determine until fully dismantled). Gave the go ahead. As it turned out the job was not as big as it could have been and car fixed for less than quoted. I am grateful they quoted for the worst scenario as there is nothing worse than a low quote and then later the price for ever getting higher as some garages seem to do. Really happy that they identified the issue and didn't do any unnecessary work, but at the same time did a thorough job, changing gearbox oil and adjusting tracking following the dismantling work associated with changing of my vehicles clutch. Very professional service, and in my experience better than main dealers. Also competitively priced. Being on holiday and not knowing a reputable garage this could have turned out a lot worse. As it happened it was a first class service by HIQ and also for the RAC I might add. Many thanks.
