Electric Vehicle Charging Point

It is common knowledge that the prevalence of electric vehicles (EV) has increased over the past decade, which has subsequently created a shift in demand for consumers in the automobile industry. With this in mind, there is an increasing demand for EV owners to have greater accessibility to EV chargers across the country. Whether you're an electric or hybrid car driver, you'll be pleased to know that we can get you charged up whilst you wait for your vehicle to be seen by our expertly trained EV technicians.

How do EV chargers work?

As you know, filling up an EV is different to filling up a normal vehicle. When charging, EV's tap into the electric grid for power and to be able to recharge, a connector is attached to an outlet which allows the electrical charge to flow freely to your car.

Are all EV chargers the same?

The EV chargers vary in types depending on how quickly they charge, they are usually categorised as rapid, fast and slow which correlate to the varying power outputs, measured in kilowatts (kW). EV chargers also have different sets of connectors which are designed accordingly for low or high power usage and again, they vary for AC or DC charging. When charging, EV's tap into the electric grid for power and to be able to recharge, a connector is attached to an outlet which allows the electrical charge to flow freely to your car.
