We are now just two weeks away from crowning the 2013 BTCC Champion and the weekend of racing at Silverstone has set it all up nicely! Andrew Jordan and four former champions; Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden, Colin Turkington and Jason Plato are all still in the hunt for the championship, and it doesn't take a genius to work out what that means - full throttle racing at Brands Hatch!

In the HiQ Teams Championship Honda looked to have wrapped it all up now, heading into the final round with a lead of 102 points. Although, Pirtek are still leading the individual title race they suffered slightly this weekend in the teams championship with eBay Motors pulling level on points with them.

Race one; was a surefire win for MG KX Momentum Racing, with both Jason Plato and Sam Tordoff taking first and second position, Plato fought off the challenges of Tordoff for a lights-to-flag victory. Matt Neal took the final position on the podium after an awesome drive and a close finish, overtaking eBay Motors BMW Colin Turkington, by just 0.008s. Fourth position was filled by Rob Collard, fellow eBay Motors driver just ahead of the current championship leader Andrew Jordan who ensured he kept his total points ticking over with a solid performance.

Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan had a fantastic race two, overtaking both Sam Tordoff and even Jason Plato at one point to finish in second, narrowly missing the top podium spot to Jason Plato, who took his 80th BTCC win. It was also a great race by Aron Smith, who made his way up from eighth to finish in third position, using the superior grip of the Soft Dunlop Sportmaxx RT tyre.

Colin Turkington led race three, but was beaten on the restart as Gordon Shedden completed one of his best drives of the season to win. Aron Smith completed a brace of second places while Honda's Matt Neal took third position. Turkington maintained fourth, fighting against Airwaves Racing's Matt Jackson. The Ford Focus and BMW eventually touched in a penultimate lap, resulting in Turkington spinning off at Copse with a broken suspension, leaving him out of the race and out of the championship race.

So, here we are again. One round left, three races to go and all to play for! The 2013 BTCC season has been a fantastic advert for British motorsport with pure adrenaline fuelled racing mixed with spills and thrills at every round for crowd, teams and drivers alike. In terms of our top tip for who will be crowned champion...well it would be silly to bet against Andrew Jordan. There is one fact that confirms this - Andrew Jordan has scored points in every round this season, a rare feat ending in a 34 point lead as we go into Brands Hatch. This mixed with his blistering form and maturity behind the wheel means he is our tip for the title.
