A fast fit centre in Sunderland is celebrating a major coup after beating 150 centres across the UK to be crowned as the number one HiQ Centre in the UK.
HiQ, based in Inkerman Street, won the network's centre of the year award for its outstanding service to motorists over the course of the year.
Franchisee Alister McGill praised centre manager Chris Brannon and his team for creating an open, honest environment for motorists and developing a fast fit experience that they can always be sure of.
Ali said: "I'm absolutely delighted for the team. It is testament to the work of Chris and all the staff for driving better standards and creating a professional, inviting retail experience.
"In tough trading times, we have managed to outperform the market and boast some great achievements in Sunderland and it is wonderful to receive an award to officially commemorate this."
Ali continued "We are passionate about customer care and we have invested significantly in our HiQ Centres and also heavily in ongoing training to ensure that we deliver optimum service."
The award was given to HiQ Sunderland following an extensive customer feedback programme, where motorists at all of of the network's centres were asked about their experiences.
HiQ retail director Peter Tye said: "The team at Sunderland have been excelling for some time now, and we have heard nothing but positive feedback.
"They are something of a benchmark for other centres to follow and we were delighted to officially recognise them in this way."
The awards initiative was introduced to support and build the HiQ franchise programme to recognise those who are leading the way within the HiQ network.
Peter added: "It is important that we continue to improve capability across the network's 150 centres and by recognising those businesses that are excelling, we can build a platform to drive the HiQ business forward.
"It is a fantastic achievement to receive such recognition and huge congratulations go out to HiQ Sunderland once more."
As well as receiving bespoke award plaques to be displayed in the centre's customer service area, Ali received a congratulatory cheque for £2,500 to further invest in the business.
