Motorists need no longer be caught out by the unexpected when they break down on the roads, thanks to a new app that’s being launched this month. ‘Pocket HiQ’ has been developed by HiQ, one of the UK’s leading tyre and fast fit specialists, to provide motorists with all the information and support they might need when they’re on the go - proving particularly useful in a roadside emergency.

Free to download now from the App Store and the Play Store, the app is ideal for smartphones and tablet users, and features a whole host of functions including quick call links for a selection of breakdown providers as well as geo-location technology to find places of interest nearby should motorists need to find convenient local facilities such as a café or petrol station. The app also provides directions, opening times and details of how to get in touch with the nearest HiQ centre should a motorist need a new tyre or other vehicle maintenance.

Further going the extra mile, ‘Pocket HiQ’ will help motorists to be fully up to speed with the maintenance of their car before they set out on a journey or whilst they’re out and about thanks to other helpful features such as a road side quiz and helpful articles, a mileage and tyre pressure calculator, plus MOT and service reminders.
